Western South Dakota TV viewers will be able to watch a live, local newscast at 7 a.m. weekdays beginning Monday, Jan. 6.
Gray TV’s KEVN-LD/7.1 (Rapid City) will carry “Good Morning Black Hills” from 7 to 8 a.m. A promo describes it as “the area’s only lifestyle morning show” that will include news headlines and other community content.
“Good Morning Black Hills” will be anchored by Blake Joseph and also share the existing morning team of sister ABC affiliate KOTA-TV/3.1, including Kayleigh Schmidt, Eric Gardner, and Caroline Pettey.
The newscast will replace a repeat of KEVN’s previous night’s newscast that previously aired in the 7 a.m. hour.
KOTA-TV’s “Good Morning KOTA Territory” airs from 5:30 to 7 a.m. It competes directly with NBC affiliate KNBN/21.1 in the same timeslot.
The market’s CBS affiliate, KCLO-TV/15.1, airs a newscast from KELO-TV (Sioux Falls) from 4 to 6 a.m. local time.
KEVN-LD’s programming is simulcast on KOTA-TV/7.1 (Rapid City), KHSD/7.1 (Lead), and KSGW/12.2 (Sheridan, WY).
