Northwestern Wisconsin’s Hard Rock “Ink” format has expanded to a second FM translator-AM combination.
“Ink” is now being heard on WXCE/1260 (Amery) and its newly-launched FM translator, W297CU/107.3.
W297CU transmits with 250 Watts from sister station WZEZ/104.9’s tower north of Turtle Lake. It was granted as part of the FCC’s AM Revitalization filing window.
“Ink” launched about two years ago on W224DN/92.7 and WXNK/940 (Shell Lake). The stations are owned by Zoe Communications, which owns eight full-power stations and five translators in the region.
