WKCH/106.5 (Whitewater) has switched from Classic Hits “Kool 106.5” to Country as “Kicks 106.5” following its sale to Magnum Media earlier this year.
The change was first noted by Radio/DX Information from Wisconsin.
The new “Kicks 106.5” competes with CMC Media’s WSLD/104.5 (Whitewater). The Fort Atkinson/Whitewater area is midway between Milwaukee and Madison.
The move comes a month after Magnum’s WFAW/940 (Fort Atkinson) dropped syndicated Talk for Oldies. WKCH and WFAW are operated alongside Adult Contemporary-formatted WSJY/107.3 (Fort Atkinson).
