Flood Communications West Buys New Nebraska Panhandle Station

Flood Communications West is adding a fourth station to its group in western Nebraska.

A deal filed for approval with the FCC indicates Flood Communications West is buying KIMB/104.3 (Dix-Kimball) from Victor A. Michael’s Michael Radio Company for $25,000. The deal includes equipment at the transmitter site, but no studio facilities.

KIMB is a new 26kW/40m (class C2) station that was granted its license in June after an FCC filing indicating that the station had been constructed as authorized.

Flood Communications West is a partnership of Andrew Ruback and Michael Flood. It owns two stations and a translator in Sidney as well as the construction permit for a new FM station in Bayard.

The Sidney stations share the NewsChannel Nebraska branding used by Flood stations in other parts of the state.
