Broadcast History: How Radio Marketed to Advertisers in 1935

The 1930s were a very different time culturally, but radio broadcasting was already in full force in ways we’d recognize today.

The industry was already well-established when the 1935 Broadcasting Yearbook was published. There were major stations operating around the country and more than a dozen of them were represented in ads in the annual Yearbook seeking national advertisers.
