Flood Communications West is buying a low-power TV station serving North Platte and Ogallala.
According to an asset purchase agreement filed with the FCC, Flood will pay Digital Networks $20,000 for K26CV-D (Ogallala). K26CV-D is licensed to transmit with 15kW from a tower midway between North Platte and Ogallala.
Flood Communications West LLC is owned by Andrew Ruback (50%) and U.S. Rep. Michael Flood (50%), who also hold varying interests in several other companies.
Combined, the Flood companies own seven low-power TV stations, 19 full-power radio stations, and seven FM translators around the state. None of the stations are in the North Platte-Ogallala area.
The low-power TV stations carry News Channel Nebraska and Telemundo Nebraska.
