iHeartMedia has launched Contemporary Christian outlet “Up 102” on the HD2 signal of KEEY/102.1 (St. Paul).
The format is apparently a different iteration of the “Up” format heard on the iHeartRadio platform.
KEEY-HD2 had carried New Country as “K102 New” for the past 13 years, except for a period last winter when it changed its name to “The Wolf” in an apparent unsuccessful effort to dissuade another station in the market from adopting the slogan.
“Up 102” is the third Christian music format carried on iHeartMedia HD subchannels, with the Educational Media Foundation’s “K-Love” and “Air-1” networks carried on other iHeartMedia HD subchannels.
All compete with the University of Northwestern-St. Paul’s non-commercial KTIS-FM/98.5 (Minneapolis), which carries two additional Christian music formats on its HD subchannels.
