Following its purchase of KXRP/91.3 (Bismarck), Central Dakota Enterprises has launched a Christian Country format on the new station.
“Heartland 91.3” launched in mid-August, according to a post on the Facebook page of new sister station KNDR/104.7 (Mandan). It is relayed on K206EI/89.1 (Williston).
Central Dakota Enterprises recently purchased KXRP and K206EI from Catholic broadcaster Real Presence Radio for $100,000. Bismarck and Williston had been the only places where Real Presence had two stations. They had carried Spanish Christian programming at one time but were more recently simulcasting Real Presence’s main network.
Bismarck had previously received a Christian Country format from the “God’s Country Radio Network,” which shut down in 2010. It had been heard on the station that is now Northwestern Media Faith Radio Network station KLBF/89.1 (Lincoln-Bismarck).
The Educational Media Foundation’s “K-Love” and “Air1” networks also both have stations in Bismarck.
