Spirit Catholic Radio has signed on its seventh full-power FM station, which is the network’s 17th signal when translators and low-power FM stations are added in.
KVEJ/91.9 (Valentine) transmits with 1.3kW/68m (class A). The network filed a license to cover application with the FCC on April 12 and also announced the new station sign-on the same day.
Spirit Catholic Radio’s parent organization, VSS Catholic Communications, also holds construction permits for new full-power FM signals in O’Neill and Ogallala as a result of a 2020 FCC filing window. A fourth station granted during that window, KEJS/88.1 (Sargent-Broken Bow), has already signed on.
KVEJ is the second Christian radio service in Valentine; My Bridge Radio also serves the rural community via KMBV/90.7.
