Good Karma Brands announced that UW Badgers football and men’s basketball are returning to WTMJ/620 and “ESPN Milwaukee” (WKTI/94.5). Volleyball will also be carried on WTMJ.
The Minnesota Wild announced that they will launch their own dedicated platform to carry Wild games, which will include distribution on “cable, satellite, streaming services and over-the-air.” Exact details, including which TV stations will carry the games, have not been announced.
Meanwhile, Townsquare Media’s “Fan 106.5” (WEBC/560 and W293CT/106.5 Duluth) announced that it will be the new home of the Minnesota Wild starting this fall. The team had previously been split between Midwest Communications stations in the market.
Tucker Antico announced that he is joining Tegna NBC affiliate KARE 11 (Minneapolis) as morning meteorologist.
Hearst ABC affiliate WISN-TV/12 (Milwaukee) announced the hiring of meteorologist Brittany Ward to provide forecasts on weekend mornings.
Nexstar CBS affiliate WFRV/5 (Green Bay) has promoted Kyle Malzhan to sports director.
Forty-two Audacy Sports, News, and Talk stations will be carried by SiriusXM platforms. They include WCCO/830 (Minneapolis), which will be offered on the SiriusXM app but not the satellite feed.
Civic Media’s WELY/1450 and WELY-FM/94.5 (Ely) posted a video documenting the stations’ reconstruction and return to the air.
