Lincoln Station Flips from Classic Hits to Classic Rock

Posted on March 19, 2020 by Jon Ellis

NRG Media’s KLNC/105.3 (Lincoln) has flipped from Classic Hits to Classic Rock as “The Bone.”

The flip at Noon on Thursday, March 19, first reported by RadioInsight, puts KLNC in direct competition with Alpha Media’s “92.9 The Eagle” (KTGL Beatrice-Lincoln), which rose to first place in Nielsen Audio 12+ ratings in the fall 2019 book. KLNC had placed last among subscribing FM’s.

The station’s website does not list a current morning host. It describes the new playlist as “a heavier presentation than the traditional Classic Rock stations” with songs from the late 1960’s to the early 2000’s.

Fans of Classic Hits in Lincoln can still hear them on iHeartMedia’s KGOR/99.9 (Omaha), which provides rimshot service to the capital city.
