A Waupaca, Wis., AM radio station has changed its format to Hard Rock along with the launch of a new FM translator.
“The Foundry” is heard on W264DS/100.7 and WPCA/800. The “Hot Rockin'” format debuted at 4:20 p.m. Monday, July 13, with Twisted Sister’s “I Wanna Rock.”
The station takes its name from Waupaca Foundry, a large regional employer based in the city.
WPCA was formerly WDUX with a Classic Country format. It had gone silent in May for equipment work following the sale of WDUX and WDUX-FM/92.7 to Tower Road Media.
WDUX-FM switched to a Classic Hits format in May.
It appears WPCA does not yet have a website or audio stream, but it does have a Facebook page with some pictures of the recent tower work:
