Mid-West Family Broadcasting has switched its Classic Country outlet in the Dairy State’s capital city from “Hank” to “The Farm.”
The new identity of WHIT/1550 and W249DH/97.7 (Madison) is built around longtime farm broadcaster Pam Jahnke, whose “Mid-West Farm Report” has moved over to “The Farm” from its longtime home on Sports-formatted “The Zone” (WOZN/1670). The program is syndicated to four other Wisconsin stations in the 5 a.m. hour and now gets extended morning airtime on “The Farm.”
Jahnke is also featured in imaging on “The Farm” throughout the day. She hosts ag news updates at the top and bottom of the hour, and the station also features extended blocks of farm news at 9, 2, and 5.
With the change, WHIT is also sprinkling in a few Classic Rock hits from artists such as ZZ Top, Tom Petty, and Bon Jovi.
