Good Karma Brands has announced that new Black Talk station “101.7 The Truth” will launch on Jan. 4 with a lineup that features Milwaukee Bucks in-game hosts and several well-known community members.
“The Truth” will air on W269DL/101.7 (Milwaukee) and WGKB/1510 (Waukesha).
The lineup will include Joe Brown and Melanie Ricks from 7 to 10 a.m., broadcast journalist Sherwin Hughes from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., community advocate Tory Lowe from 1 to 4 p.m., and retired Milwaukee Police Lieutenant and longtime broadcaster Dr. Ken Harris from 4 to 6 p.m. Repeats will air overnight.
Good Karma recently bought W269DL and WGKB, which formerly carried a Liberal Talk format known as WRRD “Resistance Radio,” from Michael Crute’s New WRRD, LLC. They have been simulcasting “540 ESPN” (WAUK Jackson) during the transition.
In addition to WAUK, Good Karma also operates News/Talk station WTMJ/620 and “ESPN 94.5” (WKTI).
