Numerous New Subchannels Sign On for New TV Season

Numerous new digital TV subchannels have been activated across the Upper Midwest in time for the new TV season carrying newly-launched networks Defy, TrueReal, and Rewind TV.

The channels listed below are newly-launched subchannels (not replacing previous programming) unless indicated otherwise.

Bismarck: Forum’s KBMY added Defy on 17.5 and TrueReal on 17.6.

Cedar Rapids: Scripps’ KPXR added Defy on 48.5 and TrueReal on 48.6, replacing QVC and HSN.

Des Moines: Scripps’ KFPX added Defy on 39.5 and TrueReal on 39.6, replacing QVC and HSN.

Duluth: Hubbard Broadcasting’s WDIO/10 (Duluth) and WIRT/13 (Hibbing) added Defy on DT4 and TrueReal on DT5. Meanwhile, TCT’s KCWV/27 (Duluth) is running slates indicating new channels are coming to DT5 and DT6.

Fargo: Forum’s WDAY added Defy on 6.5 and TrueReal on 6.6.

Green Bay: Nexstar’s WFRV added Rewind TV on 5.4, while Scripps’ WACY added Defy on 32.4 and TrueReal on 32.5.

Milwaukee: Scripps’ WPXE added Defy on 55.5 and TrueReal on 55.6, replacing QVC and HSN.

Minneapolis: Sinclair’s WUCW added Rewind TV on 23.5, while Scripps’ KPXM added Defy on 41.6, replacing HSN.

Quad Cities: Mission/Nexstar’s KLJB added Rewind TV on 18.3.

Wausau: Scripps’ WTPX added Defy on 46.6, replacing HSN.
