Michigan-based Bridge News LLC is buying Minneapolis Univision affiliate WUMN-LD/21, but the deal does not include the network affiliation.
An asset purchase agreement filed with the FCC says Bridge News will pay Media Vista Minneapolis and Media Vista Kansas City $2.25 million for WUMN-LD and KUKC-LD (Kansas City).
The agreement states that the rights to the Univision affiliations are excluded from the sale.
It’s not immediately known where Univision will be seen in Minneapolis following the sale; Florida-based Media Vista owns no other stations in Minnesota.
Bridge Media Networks owns NewsNet and several other brands along with 31 TV stations, according to its website. The company also holds a construction permit for K26PF-D (St. Cloud), which is within the Minneapolis market.
