MeTV FM On The Air in La Crosse

Posted on July 2, 2019 by Jon Ellis

Longtime Oldies/Classic Hits outlet “Eagle 102.7” (KQEG La Crescent-La Crosse) has switched to the Soft Oldies “MeTV FM” format.

The switchover came on Monday, July 1. KQEG is the first analog MeTV FM affiliate in the Upper Midwest.

MeTV FM carries a wide variety of soft hits from the 1960’s to the 1980’s and is operated by Chicago-based Weigel Broadcasting, which also owns the MeTV classic TV network. MeTV is seen in La Crosse on channel 25.2 of Nexstar’s WLAX-TV.

KQEG is part of the Mississippi Valley Broadcasters group, which owns three other FM stations and one AM station in the market.

The previous format had competed primarily with Family Radio’s “Classic Hits 94.7” (KCLH Caledonia-La Crosse).
