“K-Love” Gets Stronger Green Bay Signal

Posted on January 8, 2020 by Jon Ellis

Following its sale to the Educational Media Foundation, WPCK/104.9 (Denmark-Green Bay) is now carrying the non-commercial “K-Love” network.

EMF closed on its $512,000 purchase of WPCK from Cumulus Media’s Mainstay Station Trust on New Year’s Eve. The station, formerly Country-formatted “Nash FM,” said goodbye to its listeners that night.

WPCK is the latest in a long series of formerly commercial stations that EMF has purchased to carry its non-commercial networks. Others regionally have been in the Milwaukee, Chicago, and Quad Cities markets.

The “K-Love” network of Contemporary Christian music is also heard on WPFF/90.5 (Sturgeon Bay), which has a rimshot signal to Green Bay, as well as translators in Appleton, Oshkosh, Fond du Lac, and Sheboygan.

EMF also operates “Air1,” which carries Worship music. Currently, that network’s only Wisconsin signal is in Sheboygan.
