Duluth TV Station Sold to Christian Broadcaster

Posted on June 1, 2020 by Jon Ellis

A small Duluth TV station is being sold to the organization that operates the TCT Christian TV network.

Radiant Life Ministries is buying KCWV/27 from JSD Properties for $1 million, according to an asset purchase agreement filed with the FCC. JSD Properties is owned by the Flinn family.

KCWV first signed on in 2009 and has never sold local advertising or carried local programming. It has carried various small networks including My Family TV, Legacy TV, and The Walk TV and currently carries AMG TV.

KCWV has a small coverage area with a 40kW signal pointed northward. It is carried on DISH Network but not other major providers.

KCWV transmits from the former KDLH-TV site in Duluth’s antenna farm. The owners built a new tower at the site in 2015. KCWV has had two extended periods of silence, first for tower reconstruction and later due to transmitter failure.
