8 Channels Added as Sioux Falls TV Sale Closes

Posted on December 22, 2021 by Jon Ellis

Radiant Life Ministries has closed on its purchase of the former Sioux Falls FOX affiliate and converted it to a Tri-State Christian Television (TCT) network station with numerous subchannels.

The sale of KTTW/7 (Sioux Falls) and satellite KTTM/12 (Huron) closed on Tuesday, Dec. 21, and KTTW immediately began carrying a new lineup:

  • 7.1 TCT
  • 7.2 ThisTV
  • 7.3 SBN
  • 7.4 LAFF
  • 7.5 Bounce
  • 7.6 Grit
  • 7.7 Defy
  • 7.8 TrueReal
  • 7.9 Newsy
  • 7.10 TCT simulcast

Not yet appearing on the lineup is DigiTV, which has been listing KTTW/7.3 as an affiliate on its website.

ThisTV is the only holdover from KTTW’s previous ownership. The station had carried ThisTV on both its DT1 and DT2 channels after Gray TV took over the Sioux Falls FOX affiliation in late 2020 and quietly moved it to KDLT/46.2.

Radiant Life purchased KTTW/KTTM from locally-owned Independent Communications for $850,000. Independent had launched KTTW as market’s FOX affiliate in 1987.

Gray purchased KTTW’s five former translators for $1. Gray runs the market’s ABC, FOX, and NBC affiliations on KSFY/13 and KDLT, competing with Nexstar CBS affiliate KELO-TV/11.
