KFOW Brings FAN Network to Owatonna

Posted on May 1, 2023 by Jon Ellis

Main Street Broadcasting’s KFOW/1170 and K292GU/106.3 (Waseca-Owatonna) have flipped to “The Fan Owatonna,” dropping Conservative Talk.

The lineup includes the Minneapolis-based FAN Network as well as a local show at noon called “Mic’d Up Misfits.”

The change came Monday, May 1, after a monthlong countdown on a Twitter account.

KFOW, owned by the Linder and Ketelsen families’ Main Street Broadcasting, is operated alongside “KRUE Country 92.1” (Waseca) and Adult Contemporary-formatted KOWZ/100.9 (Blooming Prairie).

The FAN Network is also heard on Linder/Ketelsen stations in Mankato and Marshall.

The News/Talk format had launched in October 2020 as “Fox News Radio” and later rebranded as “News/Talk 1170.” Its lineup had included Hugh Hewitt, Brian Kilmeade, and Markley, Van Camp and Robbins, along with the Linder Farm Network and AgriTalk.
