Zoe Moves to Bigger “Cabin” in Hayward

Posted on September 7, 2024September 7, 2024 by Jon Ellis

Zoe Communications has upgraded its Classic Hits format called “The Cabin” to a bigger signal in Hayward.

WHSM-FM/101.1 (Hayward) flipped to “The Cabin” on Sept. 7, dropping “Muskie Country.” It will retain the heritage WHSM callsign.

The format had previously aired on WHSM-HD2 and W245CT/96.9 (Hayward); a new format is expected to debut on those stations. W245CT had briefly relayed Civic Media’s WBZH/910 (Hayward) this summer.

(910 originally carried “The Cabin” as WCBN but the format moved to WHSM-HD2 and remained on W245CT when the AM station was sold.)

Zoe also runs “The Cabin” on WZEZ/104.9 (Balsam Lake) and WJBL/93.1 (Ladysmith).

WHSM-FM, running a music-intensive format, primarily competes with Vacationland Broadcasting full-service Adult Contemporary outlet WRLS/92.3 (Hayward).
