Sinclair Selling TV Stations in Four Midwest Markets

Posted on March 12, 2025March 13, 2025 by Jon Ellis

Sinclair Broadcast Group is selling TV stations in four Midwestern markets, including Milwaukee, according to documents filed with the FCC.

The asset purchase agreement indicates Rincon Broadcasting Group LLC, headed by Todd Parkin, will buy five fill-power licenses from Sinclair for $29.4 million. They include:

  • Milwaukee: WVTV (CW 18.1)
  • Kirksville-Ottumwa: KTVO (ABC 3.1, CBS 3.2)
  • Hannibal-Quincy: KHQA (CBS 7.1, ABC 7.2)
  • Springfield, IL: WICS (ABC 20.1) and satellite WICD/15.1 (Danville)

The application says Parkin is a longtime media executive and former TV station owner. It appears he does not have any current broadcast interests.

Sinclair has not issued a news release about the sale as of March 13.
