Longtime Omaha Christian radio station KCRO/660 will get a new FM translator signal under a deal filed for approval with the FCC.
An asset purchase agreement indicates Hickory Radio will buy K287CB/105.3 from CSN International for $100,000. K287CB’s community of license is Glenwood, Iowa, but it is currently licensed to transmit from Omaha with 200 Watts.
The agreement includes a provision that KCRO, K287CB, and KCRO translator K294DJ/106.7 (Lincoln) will carry the late Pastor Chuck Smith’s “The Word for Today” weekdays at 7 a.m. for the next decade.
KCRO was previously heard on FM in Omaha on K293CJ/106.5, which moved to Lincoln and became K294DJ in 2019.
