A new FCC filing reveals that there is a potential buyer for Endurance Broadcasting’s KLBB/1220 (Stillwater), which has been transmitting at just 20 Watts with a staticy NOAA Weather Radio signal for several years after selling its longtime transmitter site. The news of a possible sale comes in the station’s latest request for extension of special temporary authority to use the reduced-power facility. The filing says the potential buyer is an “unrelated radio licensee” who had been approached about serving as the new site for KLBB and who subsequently made an unexpected offer to buy the station. Further information was not publicly released. KLBB’s previous facility used 5kW non-directional daytime and 254 Watts non-directional at night. Its construction permit for an FM translator on 107.5 has expired.
One Day Church Project was granted a construction permit for a new station on 88.1 in Rochester. The new station will transmit from a tower near Kasson with 20.5kW/102m (class C3).
Subarctic Media applied to move K274AL/102.7 (Mankato) west to the KATO-FM tower near Lake Crystal, remaining 250W. K274AL relays KTOE/1420, and Subarctic was also granted a license for K254DT/98.7 to relay KTOE from the same site K274AL has used for the last decade.
