Weekly Log: Brad and Carol Take Afternoons in Lincoln

Posted on September 30, 2022 by Jon Ellis

People

Brad and Carol Leggett are now hosting weekday afternoons from 2 to 4 on “98.9 TiM FM” (KJTM-LP Lincoln). The couple founded TiM FM and previously worked on-air together at KCRO (Omaha) and KSTR-FM (Montrose-Grand Junction, CO). “We are both excited to live life with our listeners and thank God for all the opportunities he has given us and continues to give,” they wrote.

Clayton Anderson is joining Gray NBC affiliate KTIV/4 (Sioux City) as weekend anchor and multi-media journalist:

TMJ4 reported that “ESPN Milwaukee” (WKTI/94.5) has paused weekly appearances by Brett Favre as he faces allegations in a Mississippi welfare scandal.

Stations and companies

Prairie Public Radio announced that KCND/90.5 (Bismarck) will be off the air at times over the next couple of weeks due to replace an antenna damaged by ice in April. The station has been operating at reduced power since then.

An undated station alert on Minnesota Public Radio’s website says KNSR/88.9 (Collegeville-St. Cloud), KSJR/90.1 (Collegeville-St. Cloud), and several translators that relay their programming will have broadcast interruptions due to tower work.

Scripps announced plans to rebrand the Newsy digital subchannel as Scripps News on Jan. 1.

Spectrum has issued a programming notice stating that the NBC affiliate on its Beatrice, Neb., cable system will switch from WOWT (Omaha) to KSNB (York-Hastings-Lincoln) on or about Nov. 21, assuming WOWT’s channel 6 spot on the system. Both WOWT and KSNB are owned by Gray Television. Beatrice is in the Lincoln-Tri Cities market; listings indicate the Beatrice cable system carries ABC, CBS, and FOX affiliates from both Lincoln and Omaha but only one NBC affiliate.

Gray NBC affiliate WOWT/6.1 (Omaha) is launching a 3 p.m. newscast, per this post from anchor Lauren Taylor:
