TV listings indicate Tegna NBC affiliate KARE 11 (Minneapolis) is adding a half-hour noon newscast starting Monday, Sept. 11. KARE had been the only Twin Cities TV news outlet without a full midday newscast since cancelling its previous 11 a.m. broadcast a few years ago. To make way for the 12:00 newscast, NBC News Daily will move to 1:00, replacing Rachael Ray. A Jeopardy! rerun will air at 12:30.
Listings also indicate “The Jason Show,” produced at FOX O&O KMSP/9 (Minneapolis), is being added at noon on Gray CW affiliate WMTV-DT2 (Madison) and at 2 p.m. on Gray ABC affiliate KCRG-TV/9 (Cedar Rapids). Gray also runs Jason Matheson’s show on stations in Duluth, Eau Claire, and Rochester.
Gray CBS/FOX affiliate WSAW/WZAW-LD (Wausau) will move its 4 p.m. newscast from the FOX channel to CBS starting Monday, Sept. 11.
Gray Media Group‘s new weekday half-hour show InvestigateTV+ will air at the following times starting Sept. 11:

- 11:30 a.m. on KWQC-NBC (Davenport)
- 1 p.m. on KTTC-NBC (Rochester)
- 2:30 p.m. on WOWT-NBC (Omaha)
- 3:30 p.m. on KFYR-NBC (Bismarck), KCRG-ABC (Cedar Rapids), KVLY-NBC (Fargo), KOLN-CBS (Lincoln), WMTV-NBC (Madison), and KEYC-CBS (Mankato)
- 4:30 p.m. on KBJR-NBC (Duluth), KOTA-ABC (Rapid City), KSFY-ABC (Sioux Falls), and WSAW-CBS (Wausau)
- 5 p.m. on KNOP-NBC (North Platte)
Sinclair Broadcast Group stations will air the ninth season of the company’s weekly “Full Measure with Sharyl Attkisson” starting Sept. 10, with a one-hour special on the long-term effects of COVID-19 airing on Tuesday, Sept. 12.
Nexstar announced that it has renewed the affiliations of its owned FOX affiliates, which include WLAX/25 (La Crosse).
Glen Nelson Center at St. Paul-based American Public Media Group announced that it is one of 22 groups funding the launch of Press Forward, which is “aimed at revitalizing and empowering local journalism.”
HisAir.net reported that Worship 24/7 is now airing in Iowa on Radio By Grace’s K206ED/89.1 (Le Mars), K218EA/91.5 (Ottumwa), and K240DE/95.9 (Sioux City). The originating station for the translators is not immediately known; they had previously relayed Radio By Grace’s WZXX (Lawrenceburg, TN).
TCT’s KCWV (Duluth) is no longer carrying Twist, which had been seen on channel 27.5.

Longtime Wisconsin Public Radio host Tom Clark will sign off this weekend. Clark left his daily role on WPR’s Ideas Network, where he was the original morning host, years ago, but had continued to co-host the syndicated weekend show “Zorba Paster on Your Health.” Executive producer Karl Christenson will take over Clark’s role on the show. It airs Saturdays at 8 a.m. and 1 p.m. on the Ideas Network as well as dozens of other stations nationally.
Ryan Juntti is joining Allen Media CBS affiliate KIMT/3 (Mason City-Rochester) as morning co-anchor. Juntti previously worked in Madison and Duluth (in the desk next to this reporter).
Reporter Caroline Reinwald announced her departure from Hearst ABC affiliate WISN-TV/12 (Milwaukee).
Anchor Stephanie Johnson has departed Nexstar CBS station WHBF/4 (Rock Island) for a new job in Virginia.
WOWT reported that former longtime reporter-photojournalist Dave Hamer has died at 93. Hamer worked at all three Omaha TV stations during his 33-year career, which included coverage of the Vietnam War and the Gulf War.
The Wisconsin Broadcasters Association notes the passing of retired UW-Platteville broadcast journalism professor Dr. John N. O’Neill, who helped design the university’s radio and TV facilities.
The Star Tribune reported on the death of longtime Associated Press reporter Gene Lahammer.
Allen Media ABC affiliate WXOW/19 (La Crosse) reported that the station’s first employee, Art Osborn, has just celebrated his 100th birthday. His son told the station that Osborn is also active in the ham radio community.
