Magnum Communications has reached an agreement to purchase another FM radio signal in the La Crosse area.
An asset purchase agreement filed with the FCC indicates Magnum will pay Faith Sound Inc. $100 for K220EP/91.9 (La Crescent, Minn.) Magnum will also forgive rent and pay legal fees.
K220EP currently relays Faith Sound’s KFSI/92.9 (Rochester).
Separately, K220EP has applied to change frequency to 92.5 and move its transmitter east to the La Crosse County Fairgrounds in West Salem, Wis., where it would transmit with 20 Watts and relay Magnum’s WKBH-FM/102.7 (Onalaska).
Magnum’s W296EH/107.1 (La Crosse) has a pending construction permit to change frequency to 92.7. To allow K220EP to move to 92.5, W296EH proposes modifying the 92.7 construction permit to specify a directional antenna.
Currently, WKBH-FM originates programming on its HD2 and HD3 channels that feeds W296EH and K250AZ/97.9. Magnum also owns “Kicks 106.3” (WQCC La Crosse) and several stations in the Tomah area, as well as elsewhere in Wisconsin.
