The following are updates to previously-reported items and other recent regulatory filings and actions concerning Upper Midwest broadcast stations. This report is created by the author and is not an official report of the FCC.
Iowa
Fourthstream Media’s K238AN/95.5 (Ames) reports that it has returned to the air on Nov. 25 after replacing its antenna. K238AN relays KPUL/101.7 (Winterset).
The FCC granted Edge Spectrum’s K31PP-D (Sioux City) an upgrade from 100 Watts to 15kW.
Minnesota
The FCC granted Edge Spectrum’s W22FD-D (Dodge Center) an upgrade from 300 Watts to 3kW.
Nebraska
Southern Cultural Foundation applied to modify the construction permit for future station KVRZ/89.7 (Hemingford) to change frequency to 89.3, remaining 6kW/35m (class A). The move is proposed so that Radio 74 Internationale can move the transmitter of future station KARR/90.3 (Alliance) closer to its community of license; KARR has applied to reduce the power from 10kW/20m to 125 Watts at 20m, moving to a transmitter site on the southeastern edge of Alliance.
South Dakota
Alpha Media’s KDLO-FM/96.9 (Watertown) reports that it returned to its fully-licensed facility of 100kW/479m on Nov. 18 following the reconstruction of the KDLO-TV tower.
Wisconsin
Gray Media’ Group’s W21DS-D (Sayner/Vilas County), which relays WSAW (Wausau), requested special temporary authority to operate at reduced power of 8.89kW due to a power amplifier failure. W21DS-D normally transmits with 15kW.
Family Worship Center Church’s WIWN/68.1 (Fond du Lac), which transmits from Milwaukee on RF channel 5, was granted an extension of special temporary authority to operate at increased power of 34kW to improve reception of its VHF Low signal.
