RAMP reports that Greg Thunder is no longer with Audacy Country outlet “102.9 The Wolf” (KMNB Minneapolis) amid a series of cuts at the company. He’d hosted mornings there since the station’s rebrand in 2018.
Audacy named Debbie Kenyon the regional president for its central U.S. markets, including Minneapolis, Milwaukee, and Madison. RadioInsight reports Audacy has eliminated market managers and Pete Kowalski will serve as regional vice president for the markets.
Deadline reports that on March 27, a federal judge granted a restraining order putting Nexstar‘s purchase of Tegna on hold for two weeks. Though Nexstar has already closed on the deal, Deadline reports the order puts a two-week pause on Nexstar integrating Tegna into its operations. KARE 11 (Minneapolis) had started running the Nexstar show-ending copyright but switched back to a generic copyright a few days later.
After previously confirming his departure from Hubbard ABC affiliate KSTP-TV/5 (St. Paul), meteorologist Matt Serwe announced he is joining Gray NBC affiliate WOWT/6 (Omaha) as chief meteorologist.
Reporter Brittany Ermon, formerly of KSTP-TV, has joined CBS Los Angeles (KCBS-TV/KCAL-TV).
Meteorologist Matt Schaefer has departed Allen Media ABC affiliate WQOW/18 (Eau Claire).
