New DTV Channels for Minneapolis, Milwaukee, Madison, La Crosse

Posted on June 15, 2020 by Jon Ellis

Several additional TV networks are now available in Minneapolis, Milwaukee, Madison, and La Crosse.

The new NBC LX channel has been added on HC2 Broadcasting stations KJNK-LD/25.4 (Minneapolis) and WTSJ-LD/38.4 (Milwaukee). Both channels had previously carried shopping programming.

NBC LX is a 24-hour news channel that doesn’t carry breaking news but offers “thought-provoking content highlights stories about tech, the environment, politics, community, social issues, and current events.” The channel also streams online.

In Minneapolis, HC2 also moved NBC’s Cozi TV from K33LN-D/33.4 to KJNK-LD/25.3, putting it next to NBC LX.

Elsewhere, Gray TV’s WMTV (Madison) has added StartTV on channel 15.5. WMTV is a primary NBC affiliate and also carries CW on a separate subchannel.

Madison and La Crosse also received additional channels with the launches of QVC and HSN on subchannels of the Morgan Murphy CBS affiliates. WISC-TV carries QVC on 3.4 and HSN on 3.5, while WKBT has QVC on 8.5 and HSN on 8.6.
