Windom Radio Stations Sold to Local Owners

Posted on September 17, 2020 by Jon Ellis

South Dakota-based Riverfront Broadcasting is selling its radio stations in Windom, Minn., to a locally-owned company.

The deal filed with the FCC for approval calls for Riverfront to sell KDOM-FM/94.3, KDOM/1580, and K276GN/103.1 to Next Step Broadcasting for $716,171. Next Step Broadcasting is owned by Charles Steven White and Laura White of Windom.

KDOM’s website lists Steve White as KDOM’s market manager and Laura White as a sales representative.

Riverfront had purchased the stations three years ago. The company also owns a pair of stations in Blue Earth as well as stations in Iowa and South Dakota.

KDOM and K276GN run an information-heavy Classic Country format with ABC Information Network news, the Minnesota News Network, and the Brownfield Network.

KDOM-FM runs a “Hot Country” format that includes local newscasts and Brownfield Network features.
