Weeks after its previous home was sold to a Christian broadcaster, “Converge Radio” has reappeared on a low-power FM station in Eau Claire under new ownership.
The Adult Alternative format is now airing on Valley Media Works’ WRFP-LP/101.9, which had previously carried simulcasts of the organization’s public access TV programming. A press release says WRFP began carrying Converge on Dec. 21.
Meanwhile, the press release says Converge is now owned by Uniting Bridges, a nonprofit organization working in the community to promote racial peace and unity among all people. Converge also announced that its studio is moving to the Pablo Center at the Confluence.
Converge had aired on WDRK/99.9 (Cornell-Eau Claire) until the UW-Eau Claire Foundation’s Blugold Radio LLC completed the sale of WDRK to The Family Radio Network earlier this month.
