Minnesota Score Radio Expands to Daily Broadcasts

Posted on January 5, 2021 by Jon Ellis

The Twin Cities have another daily Sports talk option, if only for an hour.

“Ten Thousand Takes” from Minnesota Score Magazine and Radio began airing in the 5 p.m. hour on Salem Media’s KYCR/1440 (Golden Valley-Minneapolis) on Monday, Jan. 4. It’s an expansion of a weekend show that has aired since 2002, and continues on Saturdays at noon.

In the late afternoon timeslot, “Ten Thousand Takes” competes with Dan Barreiro on “The Fan” (KFXN-FM/100.3) and Mackey & Judd on “Skor North” (KSTP/1500).

The show is hosted by Eric Nelson, a former WCCO-TV and radio host, and Wally Langfellow, a former All News Channel anchor who publishes Minnesota Score Magazine. Langfellow also hosts coverage of metro prep football games on KYCR.

The show is syndicated, with the weekend version also airing on stations in St. Cloud and Sioux Falls.

Other programming on KYCR includes Bloomberg Radio during the day and Dave Ramsey in the evening.
