Native Minnesotan with News Background Named KARE GM

Posted on February 6, 2021 by Jon Ellis

Tegna has named Bill Dallman the new general manager of NBC affiliate KARE 11 (Minneapolis), taking over for recently-retired John Remes.

Dallman, who is originally from Minnesota, has a 25-year career in TV news. He has most recently been the news content director at Sinclair ABC affiliate KOMO-TV (Seattle) and has led several other newsrooms, including at FOX 9 (KMSP) and at stations in Los Angeles, Denver, and Grand Rapids, Mich. Earlier in his career, he also worked as a producer at KSTP-TV/5.

Dallman will start at KARE on June 1.

This definitely qualifies as "Exciting personal news". Truly I couldn't be more honored and excited to join the @kare11 team. https://t.co/LKFAB6WINJ
