More Channels for Twin Cities: Low-Power TV Station Upgrades

Posted on August 27, 2021 by Jon Ellis

There are more digital TV channels available for Twin Cities residents after a west-suburban low-power TV station completed an upgrade.

Digital Networks-Midwest’s KKTW-LD/19 (Minneapolis) transmits from a well-known tower near I-494 in Plymouth, after a series of hops from St. Cloud, where it was originally K19BG.

KKTW had originally transmitted with just 435 Watts after moving to Plymouth but has now upgraded to 8.75kW, expanding its reach in the metro area.

The low-power TV station carries Get After It Media’s suite of channels: Heartland, RTV, REV’N, Action, and Family.
