Scripps Names Dave German GM of Omaha CBS Affiliate

Posted on October 10, 2021 by Jon Ellis

Scripps has named Dave German as the new general manager of Omaha CBS affiliate KMTV/3.1.

A native of South Carolina, German began his career 36 years ago as an engineer in Savannah and later served as GM at stations in Texas and Alaska, and also worked at a station in Georgia.

“The great team at KMTV has demonstrated a deep commitment to serving the greater Omaha area through quality journalism and community involvement,” German said in a news release. “I look forward to helping the station carry on that tradition.”

German begins his new position on Oct. 18.

Scripps executive Brian Hellman has most recently been serving as KMTV’s GM since Larry Forsgren and the station parted ways earlier this year.
