Bismarck Christian Broadcaster Buys Second FM Signal

Posted on May 19, 2022 by Jon Ellis

The owner of Bismarck’s local Christian radio station is buying a second FM signal.

Central Dakota Enterprises, a non-profit which owns KNDR/104.7 (Mandan), is buying KXRP/91.3 (Bismarck) and K206EI/89.1 (Williston) from Real Presence Radio for $100,000.

Steven Moravec of Phoenix Media Group in St. Paul served as the broker for the deal.

Bismarck and Williston are the only two cities where Real Presence Radio, a Catholic network serving the Upper Midwest, owns two signals. KXRP and K206EI have been carrying Spanish-language programming.

An educational objective filed as part of the application to transfer the stations’ licenses says the buyer intends to primarily carry Christian music programming on KXRP, with some talk programming.

Other Christian broadcasters in Bismarck-Mandan include Educational Media Foundation’s “K-Love” and “Air1” networks and Northwestern Media’s Faith Radio Network.
