Nebraska
Hickory Radio’s K281DG/104.1 (Omaha) submitted a license to cover application indicating it has constructed its new 235-Watt facility. The translator had previously been K287CB/105.3 (Glenwood, IA), though it had already been licensed to transmit from Omaha. The application indicates K281DG is relaying KIBM/1490 (Omaha), which is one of the stations in the “Boomer” network. Another “Boomer” translator had previously operated on 104.1 before moving to 106.5.
The Educational Media Foundation notified the FCC that “K-Love” station KFLV/89.9 (Wilber-Lincoln) is operating at reduced power due to antenna icing. The exact power being used was not specified.
North Dakota
The FCC formally approved a modification for Prairie Public Broadcasting’s KCND/90.5 (Bismarck) to reflect a correct antenna height of 361 meters above average terrain, which the station had been using for years but is about six meters lower than what it had previously been licensed for. The discrepancy was discovered when the station replaced its antenna after storm damage last year.
South Dakota
Minnesota Public Radio informed the FCC that K238AX/95.5 (Brookings) went off the air Dec. 20 due to equipment failure. The translator normally carries Classical MPR from the HD2 signal of KNSW/91.7 (Worthington-Marshall, MN).
