The University of Northwestern-St. Paul’s KTIS-FM/98.5 (Minneapolis) has told the FCC that it is operating at reduced power due to a “major equipment failure” at its licensed transmitter site.
The non-commercial Contemporary Christian station normally transmits from the KMSP-TV tower in Shoreview. Instead of its usual 100kW, KTIS-FM’s request for special temporary authority says it is currently using 11.5kW from its licensed auxiliary site at the IDS Center.
The filing says parts are on order to fix the main transmitter.
KTIS is one of ten FM stations on the KMSP-TV tower.
