Fargo Sports Anchor Moving to Radio

Posted on August 20, 2019 by Jon Ellis

Longtime WDAY-TV/6 (Fargo) sports anchor Dom Izzo is moving to WDAY radio.

Izzo announced on Twitter that beginning Sept. 3, he’ll host “Hot Mic with Dom Izzo” on WDAY/970 from 9 to 11 a.m. weekdays. WDAY is also heard on K226CL/93.1, and Izzo’s show will be simulcast on the WDAY’Z Xtra digital TV channel.

Currently, “AM Fargo Moorhead” with Mike Kapel airs on WDAY from 7 to 11 a.m.

Izzo says in the tweet that the change will allow him to spend more time with his family. Though he’ll step aside from 6 and 10 p.m. sportscasts after ten years on the anchor desk, Izzo will still be seen on TV covering high school football, the North Dakota state tournaments, and other things.

WDAY radio and TV are owned by Forum Communications.
