K-Love Operator Buys Green Bay Station

Posted on October 16, 2019 by Jon Ellis

Educational Media Foundation, the owner of the “K-Love” and “Air-1” Christian music networks, is picking up a station in the Green Bay market as the result of a divestiture.

An asset purchase agreement filed with the FCC says EMF is buying WPCK/104.9 (Denmark-Green Bay) from The Mainstay Station Trust for $512,000. Cumulus Media was forced to divest the station due to market caps.

WPCK currently carries a Country format as “Nash FM 104.9.”

The application to transfer the license says EMF will convert WPCK to non-commercial status but does not specify which of its networks the station will carry. “K-Love” is already carried regionally on WPFF/90.5 (Sturgeon Bay) and a network of translators.
