Iron River Community Broadcasting has swapped the formats of its two west-central Upper Peninsula stations.
WIKB-FM/99.1 (Iron River) is now carrying Classic Rock Hits while its former “True Country” format has moved to WFER/1230 and W250CQ/97.9 (Iron River). WIKB uses 60kW/150m (class C1), while WFER is 1kW and W250CQ is 250 Watts.
WIKB continues to carry “Telephone Time,” a buy/sell/trade and talk show airing Monday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to Noon. The format also includes an hourly ABC newscast.
The syndicated Big D and Bubba morning show moved over to 1230 and 97.9 with the change.
