KCWV/27 (Duluth) has made its anticipated change to Christian programming following its recent sale.
The TCT Network closed on its $1 million purchase of KCWV from George Flinn’s JSD Properties on Tuesday, Sept. 15. The station switched from the commercial AMG TV network to the non-commercial TCT network late Wednesday or early Thursday.
KCWV’s only local presence is its transmitter site, which is the former KDLH transmitter building in the Duluth antenna farm. The previous owner constructed a new tower at the site. KCWV never sold local advertising in its decade as a commercial TV station, which included two extended periods of silence.
The station transmits with 40kW using a directional antenna that limits the signal to West Duluth and Superior. It is carried on DISH Network but not other providers.
