A subchannel affiliation swap will affect several stations in the La Crosse-Eau Claire market, with MeTV going to Quincy-owned stations and Antenna TV going to Nexstar outlets.
On Dec. 3, Antenna TV will move from Gray TV’s WEAU/13.2 (Eau Claire) to WLAX/25.2 (La Crosse) and WEUX/48.2 (Chippewa Falls-Eau Claire). WLAX/WEUX owner Nexstar is also the owner of Antenna TV.
Having been displaced from WLAX/WEUX, MeTV is moving to Quincy Media’s WXOW/19.3 (La Crosse), according to an ad running on WXOW’s website.
The move to WXOW-DT3 will displace Decades and would presumably also include WQOW/18.3 (Eau Claire).
It’s unknown what WEAU-DT2 will carry after Antenna TV changes channels.
WLAX/WEUX is the market’s FOX affiliate. WXOW and WQOW are ABC affiliates that operate separately, while WEAU is an NBC affiliate covering both sides of the market.
