Townsquare Media has signed on a new FM translator relaying its Classic Hits format in Owatonna.
K234DB/94.7 was granted during the AM revitalization window to relay KRFO/1390. It transmits with 250 Watts from the KRFO tower just southeast of the city.
KRFO had transitioned from an Oldies format. Here’s what the station sounded like in 2017:
Owatonna is a city of 25,000 located along I-35, midway between the Twin Cities, Albert Lea, Rochester, and Mankato.
KRFO is operated alongside “Kat Country 105” (KRFO-FM/104.9), and Townsquare also owns an AM-FM pair in nearby Faribault.
