Lincoln FM Sports Talker Sold

Posted on May 14, 2021 by Jon Ellis

A new local owner is buying the FM sports talker in Nebraska’s capital city.

Ronald Romero’s Home Field Communications is selling “The Ticket” (KNTK/93.7 Firth-Lincoln) to Rebecca Pearson’s BDP Communications for $450,000. The buyer has no other broadcast interests.

An amendment to the application to transfer the license indicates the buyer will begin operating KNTK on June 1 under a local marketing agreement.

KNTK operates as a standalone station in the Lincoln market, competing with Alpha Media and NRG Media’s local groups.

“The Ticket” lineup includes nine hours of local sports talk per day and programs from FOX Sports Radio. It primarily competes with Alpha’s KLMS/1480 and K268DF/101.5.

KNTK’s ratings are not publicly released.
