KSKK/1070 (Verndale) has switched from Adult Contemporary to Catholic Talk following its sale to Gabriel Media, which closed on Sept. 27.
KSKK is now carrying programming from Relevant Radio. Gabriel also runs the network on its KYES/1180 (Rockville-St. Cloud).
The deal also included future FM translator K267CU/101.3 (Verndale).
The De La Hunt family, which formerly owned KSKK, retained former KSKK translator K234CQ/94.7 (Staples). Current programming on K234CQ is not immediately known.
KSKK transmits with 10kW non-directional day and 5kW directional at night, providing a strong signal to Wadena day and night and also a strong signal to Staples during the day.
1070 first signed on in 2005 as KVKK, carrying Classic Country and Conservative Talk.
It switched to Adult Contemporary as KSKK in 2015 to feed K234CQ, assuming the format and callsign that had been used by the former KSKK/94.7 (Staples) before it moved into the Detroit Lakes market.
