Here is a roundup of several format changes from the last several months that have not yet been reported here:
The Educational Media Foundation’s K221ES/92.1 (Albertville, MN) has switched from the Worship “Air1” network to the Contemporary Christian “K-Love” network. The change follows “Air1” adding KMWA/96.3 (Edina-Minneapolis); K221ES serves the far northwestern Twin Cities metro with some overlap with KMWA’s signal.
Simmons Broadcasting’s KLME/95.7 (Langdon, ND) and KAUJ/100.9 (Grafton, ND) are now “My FM” after their former “Rock Farm” format moved to the larger signal of KYTZ/106.7 (Walhalla) earlier this year. The stations’ website does not state what format is carried on “My FM.”
Prairie Winds Broadcasting’s K251CX/98.1 (Milbank, SD) is now carrying Adult Contemporary as “Star 98.1” after moving to the South Shore transmitter site midway between Milbank and Watertown. The format originates on a HD subchannel of KPHR/106.3 (Ortonville, MN). Social media posts indicate the format launched in the spring. The lineup includes the syndicated Bob & Sheri morning show. K251CX had previously been K252FB/98.3, which relayed Classic Hits from KMSD/1510 (Milbank).
Zoe Communications’ WXCE/1260 (Amery, WI) is now relaying the Light Adult Contemporary format of “EZ 104.9” (WZEZ Balsam Lake). WXCE had briefly relayed Hard Rock from WXNK/940 (Shell Lake) after dropping its Classic Hits format.
Mazur, LLC’s WRKU/102.1 (Forestville-Sturgeon Bay, WI) is now “U-102.1,” positioned as “a station built for you” with a Rhythmic Variety Hits playlist. It was previously Adult Contemporary as “More FM.” Sturgeon Bay has a half-dozen local commercial FM signals and is under the umbrella of some of the larger Green Bay stations.
