Six Upper Midwest Radio Stations Make Nov. 1 Christmas Flip

Posted on November 1, 2021 by Jon Ellis

At least a half-dozen Upper Midwest radio stations flipped to All-Christmas as soon as the calendar changed to November.

In fact, one market already has two All-Christmas stations. Those making the switch on Monday, Nov. 1 included:

  • Iron Mountain, MI: Radio Results Network’s “94.3 The Breeze” (WZNL Norway)
  • Marquette, MI: Radio Results Network’s “94.1 The Breeze” (WUPK) and Mediabrew Communications’ “106.1 The Sound” (W291CJ and WFXD-HD4)
  • Bemidji, MN: Paskvan Media’s “1300/94.3 The Legends” (KPMI and W232DS)
  • Sioux Falls: Midwest’s KELO-FM/101.9
  • Green Bay: Woodward’s “KZ104.3” (WKZG Seymour)

Notably, listeners in Madison didn’t have Christmas music on the radio for Halloween trick-or-treating this year: Audacy’s “Mix 105.1” (WMHX Waunakee-Madison) has not yet flipped after its Oct. 30, 2020 and Oct. 31, 2019 switches to Santa’s favorites.

Stations promoting pending flips include:

  • iHeartMedia’s “Mix 96” (KMXG Clinton-Quad Cities) on Nov. 5
  • Leighton’s “99.9 Lite FM” (KCML St. Joseph-St. Cloud) on Nov. 5
  • Family Radio’s “Classic Hits-mas 94.7” (KCLH Caledonia-La Crosse) on Nov. 19
  • Mazur’s WBDK/96.7 (Algoma-Sturgeon Bay), running a contest to guess the date

For the 21st season, you can track the Upper Midwest All-Christmas stations right here!
